The Hungarian fried flatbread (Hungarian: Lángos) is traditionally consumed fresh and warm with garlic, sour cream and cheese.

Lángos is the best and popular Hungarian street food. The Hungarian fried flatbread (Lángos) can be prepared at home.
We usully make Lángos at home. Need only 5 ingredients.
Homemade Hungarian Fried Flatbread (Lángos)
Ingredients 500 g all-purpose flour 3,5 g dried yeast 250 ml water ½ teaspoon salt
(sunflower or canola) oil for frying
Instructions
In a large bowl mix the flour, the yeast, the water and the salt. Knead thoroughly.
Leave the dough in the bowl, cover and let rest until it has doubled in bulk (for 40-60 minutes).
Divide the dough into 8 balls, cover and let rest for 15 minutes.
Flatten and stretch each dough ball about 25 cm (10 inch) round shapes.
In a saucepan heat oil.
Place fleatbread (Hungarian: lángos) into the hot oil, fry it on one side until golden brown then turn.
Serve while it’s hot.
You can eat it simple, sprinkle salt or with ham, sausage, mushrooms, cabbage, and many more. Kids like it with Nutella.
I always eat the Lángos with garlic, sour cream and grated cheese.
